Scott studied Finance, Entrepreneurship and Accounting at the University of Southern California. While still in school he founded a social networking company that specialized in campus organizations and white-label communities.
After selling his company, he partnered with the Lakers, USC and LA84 to run a non-profit providing year-round after school sports programs for more than 2,000 kids (for 10 years).
He founded Meritocracy Consulting when friends and colleagues requested advice and help developing software. Over the years, the range of services has expanded to include many technologies, executive strategy and marketing campaign development, but the passion to deliver high quality service at a fair price remains.
He is an advisor to a digital content website for Swahili speakers (called Maktaba.org) and he recently visited Tanzania to work on optimizing Maktaba supported educational programs.
While in Arusha, Scott taught classes on entrepreneurship, music and introduced a few students to programming.
While not working or traveling, he enjoys playing music, soccer, tennis and pickleball.
