When OpenAI announced Generative Text Completion models (before ChatGPT), we kicked into gear building prototypes for clients.
An interesting example was a blog building tool used by a non-profit focused on East Africa, a startup focused on innovative journalism and dozens of other bloggers who have requested to remain unnamed.
The goal was NOT to automate blogging fully, but to make more efficient the production of HIGH QUALITY blog posts in the style of the original author.
Additionally, while there are several tools NOW for improving the veracity of generated texts, we took many innovative approaches to achieve truthfulness and eliminate "AI hallucinations" pretty early on.
